How we work

We show you what we found.

The part that failed, the age on the data plate, the refrigerant it runs on. When it's close, you get a repair quote and a replacement quote on the same visit, and you decide.

If a repair is the sensible answer, we'll say so — even when a replacement would be the bigger job for us.

Questions

Asked in nearly every kitchen.

Should I repair or replace my air conditioner?

It depends on the system's age, whether this is a repeat major repair, the refrigerant it uses, which part failed, whether it keeps you comfortable, and how long you will stay. When it is close, we quote both options on the same visit.

What does R-22 have to do with it?

New systems stopped using R-22 refrigerant in 2010 and US production ended in 2020, so recharging an older R-22 system is expensive. That makes a leak on one of those systems a strong reason to consider replacement.

Will you tell me if a repair is the better choice?

Yes. If a repair is the sensible answer, we say so, even when a replacement would be the bigger job.

Do you work on commercial buildings?

Yes, equally with homes. Rooftop units and split systems for Athens shops, offices, restaurants and churches, repaired, maintained and replaced.

Does Keystone do surface or flooring work?

No. “Surface Dynamics” is part of the name, not the trade. Keystone is a heating, ventilation and air conditioning contractor only.
